Victorian Interschools

The Victorian Interschools Snowsports Championships (VIC) is a competition open to all primary and secondary students throughout Victoria.

The VISC attracts many of Australia’s top junior snow sports athletes as well as many competitors who are novices to the sport.

The VISC are conducted by the School Snowsports Development Foundation (SSDF), an independent not for profit, incorporated association.

The VISC is one of the largest annual sporting events with an average of 150 schools participating each year involving around 3,500 students with race entries in excess of 7,000. The ski events are conducted over 6 days, except cross country which is conducted separately, well prior to any other events.

The VISC are organised and managed by the SSDF with assistance and support of the Mount Buller authorities, especially the Ski School Race Department, and with the assistance of the participating schools, as well as parents and guardians.

In terms of administration, each school must supply one School Snowsports Coordinator who is responsible for lodging entries and seeding team members within an event.

All entries must be completed in full and lodged with the SSDF via the Interschools Online Entry System no later than the deadline date as specified by the School Snowsports Coordinator.

All registrations must be handed directly to the School Snowsports Coordinator by Monday 18 July, 3.30 pm.
