Dry-Land Training

The dry-land training program is designed to prepare participants physically for the rigours of snowsports competition. Competitive alpine skiing and boarding requires a high degree of aerobic and anaerobic fitness, agility and muscular power of the appropriate muscle groups. Fitness is not only the key to competitive performance but also reduces (without eliminating) the risk of injury. The dry-land training sessions are also an important way for the St Leonard’s College Snowsports squad to build team cohesiveness. Please note: a record of student attendance will be kept.

Weekly dry-land training will be held on Wednesday mornings from 6.45 am until 7.45 am (unless otherwise stated). Parents will be expected to drop their child at external venues where applicable. Transportation will be provided to students for the return journey to St Leonard’s College.
