2012 Tour of New Zealand

(South Island)

For more information, please come along to one of the following Information Nights on Monday 28 February, 7.30 pm, Sustainability Centre, Cornish Campus or Thursday 3 March, 7.30 pm, TCW Theatre, Brighton Campus.

The tour is open to students in year 7 – 12 (male and female)

The tour duration is for 8 days in early/mid July (8 – 15 TBC, depending on flight paths)

Ski Reorts include Cadrona Alpine Resort and The Remarkables Resort

Cadrona Alpine Resort is famous for being higher than any other ski resort in the area. It has a huge range of beginner and intermediate terrain as well as world class parks and pipes. Cadrona has specialists slopes for beginners, wide open groomed slopes for intermediates, chutes for advanced and extensive park for freestylers.

Remarkables Resort is one of the highest ski resorts in the South Island and gets all day sunshine. It is very popular among the young, hip snowboarders and freeskiers who love the terrain parks.

(Terrain: 30% Beginners, 40% Intermediate, 30% Advanced)

There are a limited number of places available (minimum 30 and maximum of 40 students)

 For every day skiing / snowboarding, students experience 2 x 2 hour lessons

Three days of skiing / snowboarding at Cadrona Alpine Resort

One full day of activities (near Queenstown) including 360 Jet Spins, Gondola Ride

and Mountain Luge in Queenstown

Two days of skiing / snowboarding at The Remarkables Resort

Internal Domestic Transfers (Melbourne)

If you missed the Information Night, Tour Packages will be available

from Mr Gould in room 20 (the old year 5/6 area) 

Prior to our Overseas Tour, their will be several meetings with students

Parents and students can expect an additional ‘Final’ Information Night (time/date TBC) well prior to departure

14th August 2011 is the last day to submit registrations otherwise Educating Adventures cannot possibly hold bookings. This being the case, the Tour to NZ will not go ahead and either Falls Creek or Mt Buller may be the alternative
